Dyfed Dirt Bike Club Regs are now available for the 2008 Melingoed Brechfa Enduro which is this year on Sunday May 18th. The Brechfa, one of only a few remaining traditional timecard enduros, will be the first round of the 2008 British Sidecar Enduro Championship and 2008 Welsh Four Stroke Series. Following last year’s horrendous weather which turned many parts of the track into knee high ruts and deep pools of water, Dyfed Dirt Bike Club, in conjunction with the Forestry Commission, have over the winter months invested heavily in getting the Brechfa tracks professionally graded/reinstated/drained as well as opening up some old favourites used many years ago in the ISCA enduros. Also, to make things a bit more interesting for Brechfa "stalwarts" many of the tracks used over the last two years will be ridden in reverse in 2008. It all adds up to what is a much more rideable route for sidecar/clubmen/novice riders whatever the weather will throw at us this year. Also new this year is the introduction of a two tier Veterans (over 40) Class which will pit former Championship/Expert grade riders against each other in the Vets A class while the Clubmen/Sportsman grade Veterans will have their own battle in the Vets B class. After last years torrential rain which turned what is usually a superbly enjoyable event into a real toughy, DDBC are this year looking for a high finishing rate and want to ensure an enjoyable day for all grade of rider whether on two wheels or three. So, with only seven weeks to go, hurry up and get your entry in to avoid disappointment as the Brechfa is always over-subscribed and this year will no doubt be no different!
