With the number of bike thefts on the increase we would recommend that you NEVER give your address to anyone who enquires about your bike, they may just pay you a visit when you least expect it and make off with your pride and joy.
Always let prospective buyers view your bike at a place away from your home and take friends with you for support. Make sure prospective buyers drive away before you return home to ensure they don’t follow you to find out where you keep the bike.
Don’t let buyers have a test ride “just up the road”, even if they leave their vehicle behind as security - remember it may be stolen as well.
Make a note of the registration number of the vehicle in which the buyer arrives - if possible, take a photo of all the persons in the vehicle for extra security. Genuine buyers shouldn’t object to this.
If the buyer pays by cheque, wait until the cheque is cleared by your Bank before letting the bike be taken away. Better still, insist that payment is made in cash. If the buyer complains then tell them to get lost, other buyers will no doubt come along soon.

We have been advised recently that a number of scam e-mails have been sent to people who advertise on this page in an effort to find out the addresses where bikes are being kept - these e-mails have been cleverly worded and could well catch out the unwary. Ex dealer team bike prior to me buying it at beginning of 2007 since then has had a gentle life, about 10 hours use since engine inspection during which I installed new piston and oil rings. Oil and filters changed frequently. Slim line 7.5 ltr alloy tank plus various after market bling, triple clamps, fuel cap, steering damper etc.
Can come with either standard suspension springs or with big boy springs. Also a fair few spares as they wont fit the 09> Husaberg bikes, which is what I intend to get next.
